About me
Edward Abambire Bawa is a distinguished energy policy expert and communications professional, currently serving as the Member of Parliament for Bongo Constituency, Ghana. He is also a PhD candidate in Global Energy Policy at EUCLID University, deepening his expertise in global energy issues. With over two decades of experience, Edward has held pivotal roles, including Head of the Communication Unit at the Ministry of Energy and as a communications consultant for the World Bank’s Oil and Gas Capacity Building Project for six years.

of Expertise
Edward has extensive experience in energy policy analysis, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement, having been instrumental in drafting and amending energy-related legislation. His leadership is also reflected in his work on various parliamentary committees, such as Communications, Mines and Energy, and Poverty Alleviation. Prior to his current role, he worked at the Food and Drugs Authority, ensuring regulatory compliance in the food and drug sectors, and served as Administrative Manager for the Ghana Football Association.
